Just had to do this with some sick fnvk who went to great lengths to reframe and twist a generous story into fodder for blame and attack. She was defending another sick fvck. 🙄
I’m a new subscriber and just started reading your compilation of “Hacking Narcissism.” What can I say: Bravo! You are one of the few authors that closely examine these toxic dynamics and offer remedies. I’m connecting the dots between your work and the works of Brene Brown (on shame) and Kristin Neff (on self-compassion).
Thank you so much Afina! I can’t say I’m much of a fan of either women’s work (because of how their work has been used for emotional bypassing and distracting from the work of managing actually abusive workplace settings) but I appreciate that you can make connections between the 3 of us.
I’d love you to check out my piece on Shame and hear your thoughts.
Thank you for your perspective. I’m open to exploring your take on these topics. I do have to say that Brene’s work doesn’t focus much on accountability and suffering caused by the person themselves.
Thank you Nathalie! So beautifully said and very helpful🙏🏼
Thank you so much Sara! I'm glad the tips were helpful and hopefully the can be easily applied :)
