I definitely agree with what you’re saying and I think this is a really solid piece. But I usually come right out and say “I could really use your help.” I hope others feel comfortable doing the same with me.

You're a good help asker. So many can't when they have status as 'the one who should know what to do'.

I am truly blown away by the fireworks of connecting so many dots in my brain while reading.

Pattern recognition displayed at a truly olympic level-following your train of thoughts was Flow-inducing on a seldom experienced level and has instantly reached brain-stimming-status🥰

Will re-read weekly and feel my own brain finally work again.

Thank you so much for putting these thoughts out there!

Great piece. The first thought I had was that to step into the “Challenger” role, one must abandon the “all or nothing” cognitive distortion, which is fueled by the inner critic who whispers “Well if you can’t solve this one problem, then you must be a worthless professional who knows nothing.”

This is so true Afina. It's amazing how shame stirs up narratives about the self that are counterproductive.

Absolutely brilliant. Your examples always help dress up the points so that it cognitively presents as a whole if that makes sense.

This is interesting, and I don't know that I entirely agree with Nathalie here.

Sometimes networking requests are sincere but awkward because networking is awkward.

We all need help sometimes, and asking a friend, colleague, or someone in your industry is a good start.

I will say that, every freakin' time someone comes to me with an "opportunity" they want free work from me. LoL, man.
